The Alpinestars SP-2 V2 comes with a level 1 CE certification. The knuckle protection is built from TPU, which is designed to absorb and dissipate impacts. The sides of the gloves are also reinforced with suede material, which protects the critical landing areas on your hands. The pinky and ring fingers also have a “finger bridge” to help protect your fingers in a low-slide crash. These gloves also come with palm sliders made from an advanced elastomer. This offers a high level of abrasion protection and means the gloves won’t deteriorate over time.

The Alpinestars SP-2 V2 gloves have incredible ventilation. With air vents in the knuckles and perforated leather throughout the glove, the airflow is extremely efficient. This makes the gloves perfect for summer riding, but we wouldn’t recommend these gloves for winter or if you live in a colder climate.

The fingers have internal foam padding with a thickness of 3mm, making them a very comfortable pair of gloves to wear on long-distance rides. These gloves are also fitted with dual adjusters located on the wrist and gauntlet. This adds to comfortability immensely as it allows you to fit it to your hand perfectly and adds protection in a slide.

These gloves also feature accordion leather stretch inserts on fingers and thumb. This makes it more comfortable when gripping your handlebars and can lower the chances of losing circulation to your fingers over a prolonged period.

Alpinestars manufacture these gloves in sizes ranging from S to 3XL. Fortunately, the size chart is accurate, and you should easily find your perfect size. Alpinestars has done an excellent job with the Alpinestars SP-2 V2, making them some of the most comfortable gloves in the market.

Like some other Alpinestars gloves, the SP-2 V2 features touchscreen compatibility, making them incredibly useful. It also makes using electronic devices much less frustrating as you won’t need to take the gloves off and on. Furthermore, these gloves have a race-oriented, street aesthetic with a mid-length cuff for additional coverage.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a well-ventilated glove perfect for summer and long-distance rides, then the Alpinestars SP-2 V2 is perfect for you. This premium leather glove is well worth its AU$150 price tag. With touch screen compatibility and plenty of sizes, this pair of gloves suits every rider.
