The REV’IT! Sand 4 Collection

REV’IT! is starting 2021 with an update to their massively successful “Sand” adventure gear series. The new REV’IT! Sand 4 gear has already been released in the US. However, it is uncertain when the range will be available for Australian customers. The collection features the Sand 4 H2O Jacket, Sand 4 H2O Pants, Volcano Gloves and the Sand 4 Gloves or the Sand 4 H2O Gloves (waterproof). Included in this collection are designs for both men and women. Both are constructed from the same materials. However, like many other jackets, the protection on the women’s designs is comparatively lacking, featuring only a back protector pocket with no mention of any chest protection whatsoever. On the men’s model, the back protector, shoulders & elbows are CE-level 2, and the chest protector is CE-level 1.

Jacket Sand 4 H2O

REV’IT! Sand 4 H2O Jacket is meant for riding in all four seasons. Ventilation takes a step up on this new jacket. You now can pull the zips down as usual but also pull back the material and lock it in place. This allows much more air to enter the jacket without any obstruction. The front middle zipper exposes another large air intake when open all the way. Cooling the entire chest effectively, it is also to be kept in an open position. However, both the men’s and women’s jackets come with many pockets and long and short zippers to attach to the pants. This jacket also features a removable thermal and waterproof liner.

Pants Sand 4 H2O

The Pants feature both a removable thermal and waterproof liner, CE-level 2 knee armour and CE-level 1 hip-protectors. This is paired with waterproof pockets, lots of adjustable points, stretch panels, reflection panels, and calf zippers. The double textile seat ensures comfort and practicality. These pants are also designed for use throughout the entire year. Even with all these features packed in, the pants are still incredibly lightweight.

Gloves Sand 4 & H2O

The Sand 4 Gloves, as mentioned initially, come in two variants, the ventilated pair and the waterproof pair. They contain Temperknuckles, TPR injected finger protectors and a TPR palm slider. These gloves are constructed with 3D mesh, Automan stretch fabric and goatskin leather. They are also touchscreen compatible.

The H2O variant is mostly the same, with extra waterproofing and some extra reflective elements for when vision is impaired in rainy weather and night-time riding. To create an efficient waterproofing solution, REV’IT! has removed the ventilation and added a waterproof and breathable Hydratex Z-liner.

Volcano Gloves

The REV’IT! Volcano is the entry-level step into the Sand 4 Gloves series. They are a lightweight, and well-ventilated summer focused glove constructed from artificial leather in both the palm and back of the hand. 3D air mesh is used for ventilation and is used in the cuff, thumb, middle, ring and little fingers. Automan stretch fabric is placed between the fingers for comfort and mobility, plus reflective inserts are placed in the gloves’ stretch lips. TPR injections are used in the knuckles, and PWR shield material is placed in the palm for abrasion resistance.
